O’Dowd participated in the month-long 2012 European Challenge Series for the Netherlands’ under-19 national cricket squad. In his tournament, he defeated Jersey with a 5-wicket haul (5/20) and two half-centuries (against Jersey and Guernsey).

He was selected to represent the Rotterdam Rhinos in the inaugural Euro T20 Slam cricket competition in July 2019. Additionally, the competition was cancelled the next month.
